East Towne Jewelers to Close Its Doors After 40 Years

MEQUON, WI – East Towne Jewelers, a beloved fixture in the Mequon community for nearly four decades, has announced that it will close its physical store at East Towne Square Mall at the end of the year, on December 28, 2024. Mary Seramur, jewelry designer and owner of East Towne Jewelers, is preparing to enter a well-earned “soft retirement.” While she’s closing the retail location, Mary will continue to repair and repurpose jewelry from her private studio as she transitions into this new chapter of life.

“I’ve been operating this retail business for close to four decades, and it’s time for me to close the retail store so I can spend more time doing jewelry design and repair work,” said Mary. Reflecting on her time at the store, she added, “It is a bittersweet decision. The Southeast Wisconsin community has always been extremely supportive, and I want to thank my wonderful sales associates and the many loyal customers I’ve had through the years.”

Since first opening East Towne Jewelers, Mary has been driven by a passion for helping people. “When I restore someone’s heirloom jewelry or repurpose a sentimental piece, it brings them joy, and that joy is contagious.” Her approach earned the trust and loyalty of countless customers over the years.
